Pre Treatment Instructions:
The degree of moisture of the skin and the moisture content of the follicles in the area to be treated many have an affection to the results of the treatment so it’d recommended that you moisturize the area to be treated daily and drink plenty of water. Note: Do not Moisturize the day of Treatment.
Photos are to be taken before each treatment. For certain ares you must arrange to have photos taken before your 1st treatment so that you can shave at home. If this is not impossible, the hair will be trimmed by the technologist.
Some clients may find treatment of certain areas sensitive. You may purchase a numbing cream to be applied ahead of time.
Emla must be applied at least 1 hour ahead of time and plastic wrap will be applied. You can purchase Emla at your local pharmacy. Maxilene does not require plastic wrap and must be applied 1/2 hour ahead of time.
If you have a history of herpes, prophylactic antiviral therapy may be required. That area may experience an eruption due to the heat.
Advice me of any changes to your health, including medications.
Do not scrub or irritate the area to be treated on the day of your treatment.
Temporary treatments during the course of your treatment. Clip the hair if you must, but do not tweeze or wax. Tweezing, waxing, electrolosys and bleaches three or four weeks before your first treatment. Vitamin E, Aspirin or Advil products for 48 hours before your treatment. Active sun exposure including tanning beds for approximately 3 days if treated with the light sheer. Make up including lipstick, on any area to be treated. Tend skin 3 days before treatment and 5 days after treatment.
For Deep Exfoliation: Wax after 1 week or week 1/2 only. NO WAXING AFTER IS ALLOWED. REASON: First week hair thin grows out is dead hair which needs to be exfoliated to make them fall out. But due to lack of exfoliation the hair does not fall out! Therefore we wax one week after as a deeper exfoliation. Continue to exfoliate after waxing!
Follow your pre and post treatments instructions.
The hair cycle varies with age, race, body and hormonal factors. The laser works by disabling the hairs in the active growth cycle at the time of treatment. Other follicles enter the active phase at a laser date and some treated follicles will re-grow. Additional treatments are necessary to disable the majority of follicles in a specific area.
A small group of clients may be non-responsive and will experience significant re-growth beyond 1 year.
